Delete Your Account

How to request deletion
- Send an email to hello@penfight.xyz from the email address you used to sign in, with the subject line "Delete my Pen Fight account".
- In the email, tell us the Display Name you played under and, if you know it, the Google account you signed in with. This is how we find your Player Record.
- We will confirm by reply once your account and the data listed below have been deleted. We aim to complete every request within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires a shorter period.
There is no in-app or in-page deletion control yet. Email is the only way to request deletion, and it reaches a person, not an automated system.
What gets deleted
Once we process your request, the following are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered:
- Your Google account email address and Google account identifier, and the binding between your Google account and your Player Record.
- Your signed-in snapshot: Display Name, pens held, championship and defence status, and any match in progress.
- Your Display Name and player identifier, wherever we can remove them without altering a match another player was part of.
What is kept, and for how long
Some data is kept even after deletion, because Pen Fight is a ranked game and other players' match history and the class ranking depend on it:
- Match Records (who played, the result, points, the date) stay in the match log, but with your Display Name replaced so the row can no longer be read back to you. This keeps other players' rankings and records accurate. These anonymised rows are kept indefinitely, the same as any other Match Record.
- Server and security logs (network and device data, such as IP address, kept for abuse prevention) are retained for up to one year from the date they were created, then deleted, regardless of your deletion request.
- Your correspondence with us requesting deletion is kept for as long as needed to show the request was made and honoured.
Nothing else is kept. We do not keep a copy of your email address, your Google account identifier, or your Display Name once deletion is complete, other than in the correspondence record above.
